This year has been unlike any other year we have experienced in our lifetime. There has been heartache, frustrations, tears, and moments of sheer confusion. Some have gotten wealthier and some are chipping away at their savings while desperately hunting for work. We all wonder if what we knew as normal will ever be an option again and when a new normal will get here if not.
I realize for different parts of the world this challenge has been harder or easier given the circumstances but where I am from, our viewpoint has been one tragedy after another. Some of these things have been normal but put it all together and it has been one challenging year.
The year of complete waste?
Most of us have written this year off and we can’t wait for it to be over. But what if this year wasn’t a complete waste? What would the rest of it look like if you didn’t waste this impossibly long year? With your days a little freer with quarantine or fewer hours at work or maybe your work schedule has not changed. Perhaps this is just the year to say I am not letting this rotten year get the best of me and will make the last few months count towards something bigger, that you never thought possible.
Holding back?
What are you holding back? What are you not giving the rest of the world that we may desperately need? Maybe it’s painting that masterpiece hiding inside of you, creating something that has yet to be discovered. Maybe it’s something eating at you and until you do it, you won’t get to the part the world needs from you. Like repainting the bathroom, reading that book, or making that garden out back that seems to be the growing trend this year.
Whatever the case may be for you, take this year and show it that no matter what this year has been, it will not be wasted.
The task is simple
- Pick one thing you have been putting off
- Take the remaining weeks of the year and think out what you need to do
- Write down the plan
- Take action
Stronger than you think.
Humans are naturally strong capable beings that have created their way through obstacles and conquered the challenges that face our day to day. There is greatness in you that has been building and the world needs that greatness. Don’t hold back and believe in yourself. The world needs you!
We all need what you have to share. That calling, the knocking on the inside of your heart, it needs to only be let out. Even if it is you finally trying out a hobby or reading a book that will move or challenge the way you think. Or simply painting the bathroom so you can say I finished it. Whatever the task that is eating at you, getting it done will free you mentally. Who knows, maybe that something will be the first step to finding your true passion and launch you into great wealth.
Courage
Don’t allow this horrible year to be the only thing that happened. Take time to invest in yourself so that whatever wealth means to you, it will multiply and give you peace and maybe even change the course of your life. Giving yourself the gift of listening to your heart not only takes courage but if you open the cage and let yourself out, you’ll see that you may just fly.
